Privacy Notice

How Novellore handles applications, accounts, your project content and your choices.

Version: 2026-10-09.1 · Effective October 9, 2026

1. Who is responsible

Novellore is currently operated by Ryan Hindman as an individual. In this notice, “we” means Ryan Hindman, operating Novellore. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to support@novellore.app.

This notice covers the Novellore marketing website, closed beta applications, support and feedback, and the Novellore closed beta service. Visiting the website does not create a beta account or grant access.

2. What we collect

  • Applications: your name, email address, confirmation that you are at least 18, descriptions of your writing project and workflow, availability, contact acknowledgments, and any optional profile link, discovery answer, schedule or interview preference you provide. We do not ask for your date of birth or manuscript.
  • Accounts and projects: if you join the beta, account identifiers and authentication information handled by our sign-in provider, and the story, outline, chapter, scene, character, worldbuilding, image and other project content you choose to save or import.
  • Support and feedback: your messages, contact details, feedback and any attachments you choose to send. Interviews are optional; recordings require a separate agreement.
  • Technical information: hosting, authentication and form providers may process IP addresses, browser or device information, request and security logs, and submission metadata to deliver and protect their services. The published marketing site also uses Replit traffic monitoring and pageview analytics. Analytics can include visited page URLs, referring URLs, screen size and browser language; traffic reports can include approximate country, browser and device information.

Imported or pasted text may include prose. Supported DOCX imports can retain extracted text and import history in your project. Do not assume that importing a document prevents its text from being stored. Keep your original files and avoid submitting sensitive personal information or information about other people unless you have a lawful reason to do so.

3. Why we use it

We use applications to assess fit for the beta, manage invitations and communicate about your application. We use account and project information to authenticate you, provide and maintain your workspace, save and retrieve your content, respond to support requests and protect the service. Feedback helps us identify problems and improve Novellore. Marketing-site traffic reports help us understand which pages people visit and whether the site is working correctly.

Application and beta emails concern access, support, feedback and important service notices. Applying does not subscribe you to a promotional mailing list. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on steps you request before an agreement and performance of that agreement for applications and the service; legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the service where those interests are not overridden by your rights; legal obligations where required; and consent for activities that need separate permission, such as an interview recording.

4. Your writing, AI and access

You retain ownership of your writing and project content. We process it to provide the service; submitting it does not give us permission to publish your work, use it in marketing or claim ownership.

Novellore currently has no generative AI features. We do not use your project content to train generative AI models. Lore Audit checks supported structural rules; it does not write your story or replace your judgment.

Service administration and support can require access to stored information. Access should be limited to what is needed for the task. We will ask before deliberately reviewing private project content for routine support; security incidents, legal requirements or essential service recovery can require access without advance permission. Do not treat Novellore as end-to-end encrypted or assume that only you can technically access stored content.

5. Providers and other disclosures

The marketing site is hosted through Replit, which also provides request monitoring and pageview analytics. Application submissions go to Formspree, which processes and stores them and sends notifications to our beta inbox. Email services also process those notification copies and correspondence. The beta uses Replit hosting and managed database and object storage, and Replit-managed Clerk for sign-in. Browser storage also holds local project data and images.

These providers process information to operate their services, including authentication, hosting, storage, delivery and abuse prevention. Provider privacy notices describe their own processing; information processed on our behalf is also governed by the relevant service agreements, including data-processing terms where applicable. See Formspree’s privacy notice, Replit’s privacy notice and Clerk’s privacy notice.

We may disclose information when legally required, to address fraud or security incidents, or to protect lawful rights. A change in the business operator may require a transfer of service records. We would give notice of the new responsible operator and relevant privacy changes; such a transfer is not permission to publish your writing or disregard existing privacy commitments.

6. Browser storage and cookies

The published marketing site includes a Replit-supplied pageview analytics script. We do not add advertising trackers or send application answers as custom analytics events. Page and referring URLs can contain query strings or fragments, so avoid including personal or confidential information in links. Hosting and form services also process technical information.

You can turn off the current Replit pageview tracker on this browser using the control below. This stores a local browser preference for this website. Allowing analytics again takes effect on subsequent page loads or tracking events. Clearing site storage removes the preference; it does not apply to other browsers, other domains or the beta app. Turning it off does not remove previous records or stop hosting request logs, security monitoring or application delivery.

Following an external link takes you to that provider’s website.

The beta uses sign-in technologies and browser storage, including local storage and IndexedDB, to support sessions and save local project information and images. Signing out does not necessarily erase locally saved data. Use a device you trust; clearing browser data can remove local work that has not been backed up or synced.

7. Retention and deletion

We delete applications that are not accepted within 90 days of a decision. Pending applications are kept while actively under review; you can withdraw yours at any time. Approved tester applications are kept through the closed beta and deleted within 90 days after it ends, unless you request earlier deletion or a limited legal or security reason requires us to retain particular records.

Beta account and project records are kept while needed to provide your workspace. You can request account or project deletion by email. Removing a project is not necessarily the same as removing your sign-in account, support correspondence, stored images, local browser copies or provider backups. We will explain the scope of your request and any remaining copies or retention requirements.

Deletion requests apply to records we control, including relevant form submissions and inbox copies. Provider logs and backups may persist until their retention cycles expire; we cannot promise an immediate wipe of every copy. We retain only what is necessary for applicable legal obligations, security or disputes, restrict its use, and remove it when that reason ends. Keep an independent copy of your writing and use available export tools before requesting deletion.

8. Your choices and rights

Email support@novellore.app to withdraw an application, request access to or correction of your information, request deletion, or raise a privacy concern. Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may also have rights to portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent or a complaint to a data protection authority.

We may need to verify that a request concerns your information, using only information reasonably needed to do so. We will respond within applicable legal time limits. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Essential service communications may still be needed while you use the beta.

Declining an interview does not affect beta eligibility. Permission to record an interview is separate from permission to publish a quotation, testimonial, name, image, recording or project example. We will ask about each intended public use.

9. Security and international processing

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and service, but no online service or storage system is completely secure. Do not include passwords or highly sensitive personal information in an application or support message.

Our providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States, where legal protections may differ. Where applicable law requires safeguards for a transfer, those safeguards must be in place. We do not promise a particular storage region or that data never leaves your country.

10. Age limit and changes

The closed beta and its application are for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly solicit applications from children. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted information so we can address it.

The previous Privacy Notice, version 2026-10-09, remains available. We will date revisions to this notice and give appropriate notice of material changes, using email for beta participants when relevant. If a new use requires consent, we will ask before starting it. A future company becoming the operator will be identified rather than silently replacing the person responsible.
